i see there are a couple of 2 inch Curt trailer hitches that fit my 2024 Subaru Forester. Can I get your opinion on which one would be the best for my car? Thanks!

Best is somewhat objective when it comes to the pair of Curt trailer hitches on your 2024 Subaru Forester as it can be different depending on your application, so I'll go over some differences to help you make an informed decision.

- Best Ground & Bumper Clearance/Concealed Crosstube/More Difficult Install/Lower Tongue Weight Rating: Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C47HR

- Less Ground & Bumper Clearance/Visible Crosstube/Easier Install/Higher Tongue Weight Rating: Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C13409

The thing most people notice is the look, and the # C47HR is definitely better in that regard as the crosstube is not showing at all, just the receiver (see photos). That design is also one of the reasons that hitch better ground and bumper clearances as it doesn't stick under the bumper.

The trade-off is the install is harder since it isn't just something you bolt right on under the frame, and it also has a 350 lb tongue weight rating compared to the 525 lb rating of the # C13409. That will really only come into play if you plan on towing a heavier travel trailer though, so it may not be a factor for you.

My personal choice would be the # C47HR because I really like the streamlined look it gives, and clearances can be important, particularly with accessories, but you may be different so get the right one that fits what you are wanting in a hitch.
