Recommended Weight Distribution Hitch for a 2020 Ram 1500 Towing a 2022 Rockwood Mini Lite 2104s

Question:

Hi, Im looking for a weight distribution hitch for my 2022 Rockwood Mini Lite 2104s. The brochure shows a hitch weight of 680lbs however, there are two 30lb propane tanks and Batters near the tongue... not sure if that weight is included in the 680lb. What do you recommend? I was thinking the FA94-001000. Also, my truck is a 2020 Ram 1500 limited air bags thanks

With your tongue weight being 680 pounds, which will include the weight of the tanks as long as they came installed from Rockwood, the Fastway e2 Weight Distribution w/ 2-Point Sway Control - Round - 10,000 lbs GTW, 1,000 lbs TW # FA94-00-1000 will definitely work.

The # FA94-00-1000 will have a minimum tongue weight capacity of 600 pounds and a maximum tongue weight capacity of 1,000 pounds, so with the tongue weight of your 2022 Rockwood Mini Lite 2104s being around 889 pounds fully loaded (going of the specs on Forest River's website), this will be a very good option.

When installing a weight distribution system on a vehicle that has air suspension setup on it, you will first need to set the tongue weight on the vehicle so that the air suspension activates. Once the air system settles, you will need to set up the spring bar tension again making sure everything is nice and level again.
