Can Pollak 7-Way to 12 Volt Power Outlet Adapter PK11896 be Used on 2021 Ford Ranger

Question:
Will this allow the use of the 7pin as a 12v source For a 12V cooler in newer vehicles with “Smart” trailer connections such as the 2021 Ford Ranger. The 12v lead in the 7pin connector in the Ranger is NOT live until a trailer is connected and the brake is depressed. Does this adapter function as desired under those parameters?
