Troubleshooting A Drive RV Stereo System That Isnt Reading DVDs

Question:

I have a Drive setup in my 2019 CrossRoads Sunset Trailer and it doesnt play certain DVDs. Is there anything I can do before replacing it? Thanks.

The Drive RV Stereo # 324-000148 you currently have isn't going to play Blu-ray DVD's so if you're trying to play anything other than a standard DVD you won't be able to. Typically if DVD's aren't reading you can use some compressed air to blow out the disc reader as it may have some dirt/debris causing this issue. Other than cleaning the disc tray and the disc there isn't much you can really besides taking the stereo apart and replacing the disc reader which wouldn't be worth the time or money.

I recommend instead just replacing it with the Furrion RV Stereo # DV3300SBL. This stereo system plays audio from radio station signals, CDs, DVDs, and devices connected through Bluetooth, an auxiliary cord, a USB cord, or an HDMI cord. It has 2-Zone output that lets you play music in 2 separate areas.

I've included the wiring diagrams for both stereos to help you with the installation process.
