Question:
I see that both the Superhitch Original TLC1205 and the Superhitch Magnum 30K are available for our 2002 Silverado 3500 4x4 truck. The truck has a GTW of only 12000lbs. We tow a 29foot race trailer primarily and sometimes it is over our GTW but not by alot. We also plan to tow a boat, which is lighter, behind our truck with a cabover camper. It seems to me that the Superhitch Original would be adequate and the Magnum 30K may be overkill. Would you please give us your thoughts and recommendations?

I would agree with your assessment that the Superhitch Magnum 30k part # TLC1205-30 is overkill from a weight capacity point of view and the Original part # TLC1205 is more closely rated to what your vehicle is equipped for.
Beyond that the Magnum has ability to be used as a 2-1/2 inch and 2 inch hitch whereas the Original is only a 2 inch hitch. That might be the only other thing worth considering.
