Question:
looking to replace my bumper hitch on a 2002 Chevy Silverado 2500HD 4x4 Diesel with an 8 foot bed. was looking at the CURT 15302 Xtra Duty Class 5 Hitch but it says it is for a 6 foot bed. What hitch do I need. Class 4 would be ok if necessary

Welcome back Roger. To add a Class IV hitch to your 2002 Chevy Silverado 2500HD with an 8' bed, I recommend the Curt item # C14008. This is a custom fit hitch with a 2" receiver that is specifically designed for the 8' bed models with the standard rear bumper. It does not require any drilling.
The Curt item # C14008 hitch has a 10,000 lbs towing capacity and a 1,000 lbs maximum tongue weight. When used with a weight distribution system the capacities increase to 12,000 lbs and 1,200 lbs.
What do you plan on using your new hitch for? Feel free to answer this and throw in any other questions you have, where it says Add Comment.
