Question:

I am looking at the Curt Q25 and A25 5th wheel hitch for my 2022 Ford F-350 8'bed with the pucks. What is the difference in these hitches??

The main differences between the Curt A25 5th Wheel Hitch # C16036 and Q24 # C16545-16017 for the OEM prep package in your 2022 Ford F-350 is that the A25 is compatible with a rotating pin box by using a wedge # C16992, where the Q25 cannot be used with a rotating pin box due to the unique spherical axial bearing that allows too much movement thus making it not compatible with rotating pin boxes.

In addition to that the A25 uses an interlocking jaw design which is a nice improvement over the non-interlocking two jaw design that the Q24 uses.

Both hitches share a 24000lb trailer weight rating, but the Q24 has a 6000lb pin weight rating where the A25 has a 6250lb pin weight rating.

Due to these differences I highly recommend going with the A25 as it is a higher quality hitch.
