Is the race spacing or bearing spacing different in the two?

I had our warehouse measure the distance between the inner and outer races of the Dexter Trailer Hub and Drum # 8-285-11 and # 8-393-6UC3-A and they found that both of them have the exact same 1-3/4" measurement, so as long as you have the # 25580 inner bearing and # 02475 outer bearing combination either hub will fit fine.
You will just need to match the hub to the correct brake assemblies as the # 8-285-11 uses 12-1/4" x 3-3/8" brake assemblies # 23-434-435 where the # 8-393-6UC3-A uses 12-1/4" x 2-1/2" brake assemblies # 23-428-429.
