Question:
Do you know what wires i should hook up to the redarc system. i have what appears to be just one wire from each sensor. is the second wire connection ground or is it powered? the tanks are currently covered with insulation and I really dont want to mess that up too much.

I attached a link to the instructions regarding the Redarc RedVision Vehicle Management System # RED89FR. The system has 6 plug-ins for water level sensors; it accommodates 2 to 5 pin sensor plugs. I am not sure which sensors you are plugging in, but feel free to send a photo and more information regarding your sensors and I will verify how they should be installed.
I reached out to Redarc for more information and this is what they told me regarding sensor installation:
RedVision is directly compatible with RV Electronics Conductive probes, but sometimes these aren’t suitable for a particular install. The other option that works with RedVision is to use some stainless screws with grommets, with wires from each screw run back to the distribution box.
When wiring into the RedVision Distribution box use an AMP-171822-5 connector, wired as follows: (see photo)
The reference pin is the bottom-most sensor, to be wired as close to the bottom of the tank as possible. Wire 2 is the “FULL” sensor, followed by Wire 3 being the “3/4” sensor, Wire 4 “1/2”, and Wire 5 “1/4”.
