When the path takes you off the pavement, this Loadstar ST235/75R15 Radial Off-Road Tire is ready to dig in. Its deep, aggressive tread channels water and mud away from the contact patch for traction on wet, snowy, or uneven terrain. With sturdy sidewalls built specifically for trailers and an 8-ply rating that supports up to 2,860 lbs at 65 psi, it’s made to stay stable and tough no matter how rough the trail gets.
Built for long hauls under heavy loads, this tire-and-wheel assembly blends off-road muscle with highway confidence. The Load Range D tire features double steel belts and full nylon piles for strength and long life. Meeting Department of Transportation specs, it can handle real highway speeds up to 99 mph while keeping cool and balanced mile after mile.
Rust doesn’t get a chance here. The 15" x 6" aluminum wheel is lightweight, durable, and completely rustproof thanks to its matte black powder coat and protective clear coat finish on both sides. It resists scuffs and corrosion even through wet or salty conditions, keeping its mesh design looking sharp season after season.
This combo isn’t just strong—it’s built for serious work. The aluminum wheel carries up to 3,200 lbs and uses a common 6 on 5-1/2 bolt pattern with a 0 offset and a pilot diameter of 3.75". That means a solid connection you can count on when every pound matters for load balance and stability.
Peace of mind comes standard. If the tire is damaged in any way within the first 12 months, it’s replaced at no charge. Add in a 2-year limited warranty on the wheel and a 5-year limited warranty on the tire, and you’ve got coverage that matches the toughness of the setup itself.
1. Count the lug holes
Look at the wheel hub or the back of the wheel and count how many lug holes there are(also called bolt holes).
Common configurations include: 4-lug, 5-lug, 6-lug and 8 lug
2a. For even lug counts (4-lug, 6-lug, 8-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole directly across to the center of the hole opposite it.
Common configurations: 4 on 4", 6 on 5.5", 8 on 6.5"
2b. For odd lug counts (5-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole to the outer edge of the hole directly across (not center-to-center since there's no directly opposite hole).
Common configurations: 5 on 4.5" (most popular), 5 on 5", 5 on 4.75", 5 on 5.5"

Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at the Kenda Loadstar ST235/75R15 radial off-road trailer tire in a load range D, and it's mounted on this 15-inch matte black aluminum trailer wheel with the 6 on 5-1/2 inch bolt pattern. Now this tire-and-wheel assembly is ideal for trailers off-roading on mud or on uneven terrain, but it can also be used on highways and other paved roads. The wheel it's mounted on is an aluminum wheel. It's very durable, lightweight, and rust proof. And it is the Sendel Series T17, which is a mesh style design with a matte black finish to it.
What's nice is they do put a clear coat finish on the front and even on the back of the wheel to protect it from scuffs and scratches. A few dimensions on the wheel. The diameter is 15 inches. The width on just the wheel is 6 inches wide. The bolt pattern on this wheel is a 6 on 5-1/2 inch bolt pattern.
And the pilot hole, which is this large hole here in the center of the wheel, diameter on this is 3.75 inches. And I also wanna mention, if you notice, this does not have a center cap. If you do want a center cap, we do sell those separately on our website. You do wanna make sure to get a center cap that'll have the same diameter as this pilot hole, which again is 3.75 inches. The wheel lug size used on this is 1/2 inch by 20, and the weight capacity on just the wheel is 3,200 pounds.
Now the tire itself, it's a Kenda Loadstar special trailer radial tire. It is a radial tire, which means it's constructed with double steel belts and full nylon plies for long life. If you look at the tread on this, has a nice deep, rugged tread blocks, which will help give excellent grip in any off-road conditions. And we mentioned it's an ST tire, which stands for special trailer tire. Has this sturdy sidewall, so they can handle heavy loads.
It is created specifically for trailers. It's not intended for use on other vehicles. Now the tire size is stamped on the sidewall. And right here, it'll show ST, for special trailer, 235/75R15. The R means it's a radial tire. Section width on it is 9.3 inches. Overall diameter from the bottom to the top, when it's inflated, it's 29 inches. And this tire is a load range D, which means it's an 8-ply rated tire. Has a maximum load capacity of 2,860 pounds at 65 psi. And this tire does have a speed rating on it, and they stamp the speed rating on the sidewall in a letter designation. And where you'll find that is right after the size of the tire we just went over. You'll see two numbers for the load index, and then the letter Q. Speed rating Q will mean this has a 99 mile per hour speed rating. Now this tire-and-wheel assembly does meet the DOT, Department of Transportation, specifications. But that's gonna do it for the review on the Kenda Loadstar ST235/75R15 radial off-road trailer tire in a load range D, mounted on this 15-inch matte black aluminum trailer wheel.

Took them on a three state trip from the Central Valley of Ca. To Idaho. Zero trouble with either wheels or tires, performed perfectly. Never even had to add air once. Tracked like I expected from Kenda no issues period. Great combo!

If I could vote for my favorite trailer this takes the prize, that is a really cool looking rig. Those tires and rims fit it perfectly I'd say. Do you have any big trips, or adventures I should say, planned?
