How do you put the spring clip back on the topper roller to remove the topper roller assembly

On your Solera RV Slide-Out Awning, # LCV000163289, and other similar awnings. Each end has a clip in it to release the the spring inside the roller to provide the tension on the canopy. What you will need to do is pull the box in and on each end of the roller to locate a slot, look inside the slot while twisting the roller back toward the camper until you see the hole on the inside. When the hole is lined up you can slide the clip in place on each end. At this point, when you remove the canopy from the extrusion rail the spring inside the roller will not lose tension.
