A big part of replacing a skylight is confirming the opening size when the old unit doesn't provide clear measurements. This one is sized for a 28" x 10" cutout, with complete outer flange dimensions of 32" x 13", so you have the key measurements before removing the old unit from the roof. That lets you confirm the fit before removing the old unit so you're not stuck mid-project with the wrong size.
Get a waterproof install using the included sealant approved for use with polycarbonate plastic. Remove the old skylight, then clean and prep the roof surface so it's dry and debris-free. For added sealing, apply butyl tape (sold separately) along the skylight flange before setting it in place. Secure it with 1" zinc or stainless steel screws (not included), then seal over the flange edges and fasteners with the included sealant. If you need hardware or additional sealant, an install kit and extra sealant is available separately (SR76RR or SR86RR). Hello, neighbors, Steven here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look at our Specialty Recreation Universal Replacement RV Skylight. It's a 28 by 10 inch neo angle in white. So, folks, just like I mentioned, neo angle, that's the right angle, and then it goes over at a diagonal there. That's what they call neo angle. So, that's the shape of it.
As you can see, it's bubbled up. I'm gonna move that outta the way there. So, starting off, polycarbonate, very nice, durable, UV-resistant. As you can see, I'm pressing down pretty hard. No cracks, no breakage, pops right back out.
That's what you want. It's a translucent-ish material. It diffuses light and reduces glare. Now, it is a pretty simple installation. You have included SR140 Sealant from the manufacturer.
They've pre-drilled all the holes here for you. Let me zoom in, so I'll give you a little better look here. And there's a look of the inside. Now, like I said, I wanna bring up this sealant again. This is their SR140.
They've specially designed this to work with polycarbonate. Do not ever use the self-leveling sealants that are out there on the market. You maybe have some leftover from sealin' a rooftop or a window or something. The chemical breakdown of those compounds can adversely interact with the polycarbonate and potentially fail, so make sure you're using their included sealant with the install. Now, again, you would need to get hardware separately. We sell that here in a kit, or you can get it at a local hardware store. They're one inch long screws. Now, as far as the dimensions, I wanna go over that again. So, when you're measuring, this will fit a 28 by 10 inch cutout. Now, you wanna take the right angle, so one of the long sides and the short sides and measure that, and that's gonna give you the overall size of this guy, which is 13 by 32, and then that cutout dimension is gonna fit inside of there. So, we got information here on our site that explains that measurement, and also lets you know what size cutout each one's gonna fit. We sell these in different sizes. Fortunately the skylight its self was not damaged. The packaging was ripped open and the skylight exposed. I would say the handlers were to rough but also more protection in the packaging would have helped.
The sealant tube blew apart during applications and made a mess of everything and ruined my $30 caulking gun.

It’s what I ordered, got here when it was suppose to.
It's not as thick as OEM. That's not a huge deal. However, it's also not as tall. It appears to be between 1/4" and 1/2" shorter. It pressed down on the interior skylight bubble and had to bend over it. I was happy that by forcing it to bend that it didn't crack or break. It seems to be holding up okay, so I won't complain.
It's the same one I installed last fall. One end did not winter well I think because of the curve in the roof. Going to pad that well and be careful not to turn screws too tight. Rest of it was fine. Wood frame got dozed a bit from rough winter. Will reinforce with fiberglass and epoxy first
So far so good. Haven’t installed it yet but seems like it will do the trick. Got delivered super fast and was happy that it came with adhesive.
E trailer was the only place that included the sealant .E trailer was the only part supplier that stated why that sealer had to be used. Fast shipping super easy. I had to use a heat gun to remove old sealant. I saved and reused all the screws. I followed instructions on the sealant tube and didn’t over tighten them.
Perfect fit and fast shipping for a replacement RV skylight. I like it because it is thicker and darker than the OEM skylight. Easy install and it does come with sealant. I will buy again for my next skylight replacement.

It's only been a year, but I would say this has been a very nice, high quality skylight for my rv.
Well, I ordered the right size! The one I replaced had turned to a crispy cracker and desinigrated as I tried to remove it. The sealant that came with it was super sticky and worked well to lay a bead to seal it. I am confident I am back to a water-tight skylight. eTrailer is the best!
Item arrived, and was the right size. One major detractors was that all the drilled holes had melted plastic residue on the bottom, some greater than 1/8 inch thick. Had i not notice this right before I set the skylight on the adhesive, the skylight would have either leaked, or quite likely cracked when I went to screw it in. Had to trim and file each of those bumps smooth to get a good seal.
I replaced my factory clear skylight with this smoke skylight and it is a very nice replacement, no more sunlight in the front living area of our motorhome, it helped keep the area much cooler

Easy install on aluminu Sundowner living quarter equine trailer. Fit perfect. Used 2 rows of 1/8x1” butyl tape then applied 3 tubes of sealant for lap seal. Order extra tubes because 1 tube will not gitter done.
I’m impressed with the quick delivery, the skylight and the ease of purchasing this item from etrailer. This is a replacement for a 17 year old RV, looks like it’s going to be the perfect fit. I will certainly look at etrailer for future purchases.
