Can Software On Blue Ox Patriot P2 BRK2016 Be Upgraded To The Patriot BLU37TR Software?

Question:
I notice the answer to the question posed in the QandA re. the Patriot 2 and Patriot BLU37TR braking systems. The answer begs the question as to whether the software upgrade could be added to the Patriot 2 system as an upgrade option. Is this a possibility? I currently have a Patriot 2 system. Thanks!

You can send in your Blue Ox Patriot 2 BRK2016 to have the software upgraded, but this will still not make it the same as the Blue Ox Patriot # BLU37TR as it will not have a new internal brake pressure sensor.
This sensor detects pressure on the brake pedal and if it detects pressure caused by the seat being too close or the unit being tilted. This will also monitor pressure on the brake pedal while you are on the road so if you hit a large bump and the unit gets jarred causing it to apply the brakes constantly, the arm will auto retract and you will get an error message on RF controller telling you to pull over and fix the issue.
