Regarding the Thule Xsporter Pro Adjustable Height Truck Bed Ladder Rack, could you please clarify if the max load of 450 lbs refers to the static load or the dynamic load? The reason I ask is that this rack will be used to support a rooftop tent and the static and dynamic loads will not always be the same.

The 450-pound load capacity listed on the Thule Xsporter # TH500XTB-THXK4B is for the dynamic weight. I called my contact at Thule, and he confirmed that the static weight capacity of the Thule Xporter is about 800 pounds.
If you need a tent recommendation, I recommend the Thule Tepui Foothill - 2 Person # TH37HJ. The Tepui Explorer Ayer has a weight capacity of 400 pounds and will be able to attach to the Thule Xporter ladder rack. In addition, the Foothill includes a high-density foam mattress for added comfort.
