What is the Difference Between Models of Thule XSporter?

Question:

Hi, I am planning on purchasing the Thule XSporter. I have two questions: 1. Is the 450lbs the static or dynamic weight capacity. Could it handle a 165lb rooftop tent? 2. Whats the difference between the 3 models you have listed? TH500XT, TH500XT-XK3 and TH500XT-XK4? Thanks!

I spoke with a representative of Thule, who told me that they did not classify the 450 lb weight capacity of the Thule XSporter # TH500XT as either static or dynamic and that you only needed to have a capacity of less than 450 lbs and you would be fine.

As far as the models you referenced, the only difference is fit. The The Thule XSporter # TH500XT is a fit for a 2017 Nissan Titan, while the # TH500XT-XK3 is for a 2005 - 2015 Toyota Tacoma with a Deck Rail System while the # TH500XT-XK4 is a fit for a 2016 - 2018 Toyota Tacoma with a Deck Rail System.
