The yellow plugs go directly to the tail lights or are they somewhere else?

The yellow plugs on the Tekonsha T-One Connector # 118747 you have for your 2018 Mercedes-Benz GLC get plugged into the factory tail light connectors behind the access panels on both the passenger and driver side of the rear cargo area which is shown in the included diagram.
You will need to disconnect the factory connectors being careful to not damage the locking tab, and then install the # 118747 in between the two connectors making sure the connectors are fully connected.
