Question:

I have a 2019 Chevrolet High Country and have an Anderson Rapid Hitch with a 2 and 2 5/16 ball. The tail gate cannot be lowered when the trailer is attached due to the taller tail gate on the new body style being taller. Do they make a make the AM3422 with a longer shank that would extend the hitch approximately 2 inches.

I have a solution for you. I went ahead and contacted my contact at Anderson, and they confirmed that they do not make any models of the Rapid Hitch with a longer shank. However, I recommend purchasing the Hitch Extender For 2" Trailer Hitch Receiver # HE06. The hitch extender will give you 7 additional inches of shank length to your Anderson Rapid Hitch. Unfortunately, we do not carry any 2-inch hitch adapter less than 7 inches long. Also, it must be noted that any time you use any kind of hitch adapter, you decrease the maximum weight capacity of your hitch by 50%.
