Question:

Hello, I would like to know what hitch and wiring you recommend for the 17 Honda Accord Touring V6 model. According to the installation videos here, the back appearance plastic panel covers the spare tire bed needs to be removed. That can void the corrosion of car warranties. Is there any way to install the hitch without taking off or trimming original parts from the car? If is that is the case looks like the hitch lousy design for this particular model.

I recommend the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C11681 over item # C11496 for your 2017 Honda Accord Touring with the V6 engine. The round bar looks cleaner and helps to prevent any road salt or other chemicals from sitting on the flat steel like the construction of the item # C11496.

With either hitch you will need to remove or trim the panel for it to install properly. I would not worry about it voiding any part of your corrosion warranty as if it were vital to the warranty it would not have holes in the panel and it would have a sealant around the panel to keep any corrosive materials out. If anything by removing the panel you are eliminating a place where the salt and ice can sit and cause damage to the steel panels.
