I was very pleased with the design, quality and specially the price. Instructions were detailed which I barely used since I am very mechanically inclined. I wanted to install a hitch on my small car to use a bike rack. My new hitch and bike rack look so nice!
The best part of doing business with etrailer is, I know I will find what I need when I go to their website. The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver fit the Fit. Installation on the 2016 Fit was a challenge, especially compared to installation of the equivalent hitch receiver I installed on a 2008 Honda Fit, which I also bought from etrailer. Instructions suggested that I could remove the exhaust system, as required on the 2016, without special tools. I needed to buy a special tool and even with the special tool I was challenged. All the necessary hardware was included and the installed hitch receiver meets all expectations. I also purchased a wiring harness for the trailer. Again, installation on the 2016 Fit was a challenge, especially compared to the installation of the equivalent wiring harness I installed on a 2008 Honda Fit, which I also bought from etrailer. The 2008 wiring harness is a "plug-and-play" installation with no cutting and no splicing. The 2016 wiring harness requires cutting and splicing and running additional wire. The wiring harness purchased and the instructions supplied enabled me to execute the work successfully. The installed wiring harness meets all expectations.
The installation challenges are because of the Fit, not the Curt products.
Joshua B. was extremely helpful, I got my receiver in short time and it was a quality product. If I ever order another receiver, it will be a etrailer!

We think so too, William! Thanks for giving Joshua a shoutout. Also, happy to hear you love the hitch! What are your plans for the hitch?
I use it to carry bikes around and it has been dependable after one year. I expect more years of flawless service. Install was slightly difficult with the fishing wire. My tip to you is do not thread the whole shanks with wire, only a turn or two.
Works well, and the video how-to was extremely helpful for an installation newbie like me!
Great install instructions. Took the dog and I about an hour and a half start to finish with a little troubleshooting with dish soap. It has held up great, gets multiple bikes around town. A little wiggle between the hitch and the bike rack but I don’t think it’s the hitch’s fault.
Fast delivery and I was able to install it myself, although a second person would have been helpful. The hardest part was removing the rubber insulators for the muffler but WD40 helped (along with a pry bar). The construction of the hitch is good and watching a video of the installation helped. I had no issues and I recommend this product.
Installed this on a 2015 Fit. It was the second hitch I've ever installed, and it was by far the easiest. Other than futzing with the muffler's rubber bushings, it was a piece of cake. It was fairly easy to remove the muffler from the bushings, but it was challenging to get the muffler reinstalled. I am sure it'd be easy with the proper tool or with a lift, but I had a tough time doing it lying under the car and with various hand tools. It is in a position where it's hard to get leverage.
I would estimate that it took me 40 minutes, start to finish. Much of that time was eaten up by getting he car jacked up and supported and screwing with the muffler. The actual install of the hitch took about 10 minutes. It was slightly awkward to do by myself, but I borrowed another reviewer's suggestion to use my jack to lift the hitch into place. No drilling was required, as promised.
Also I wanted to mention that while the manual says that you have to use a strap to support the hitch, it seems fine without it, at least with light loads. I've carried my bike on a hitch, and it does not seem to flex very much. I am not at all worried about it, although it might not be strong enough to support three or four bikes. I think it's a function of how this has to attach to the car. The upper and lower supports are separated vertically more than they are horizontally, so that's got to weaken the lateral support capability.
After doing extensive research on what trailer hitch to purchase for my 2015 Honda Fit, I decided on the Curt C11406. It turns out to be an Excellent choice! I Love the Hitch. It was Super easy to install and only took me 30 min. I did it without having to lift up the back end of my car. - Layout a tarp, have tools ready and at hand, pulling the rubber muffler hanger should be spray with soapy water and can be push off the hanger easier (Use gloves if you have them/makes it easier to push off hanger) (Definitely use a torque wrench to ensure proper tightness of bolts.) I also purchased the Curt Rubber Tube Cover C22271. Etrailer has great deals with fast shipping. I highly Recommend. Will be doing business again. Thanks Etrailer!

Nice hitch. Good directions. Installed in 30 minutes easy. Used silicon spray for muffler mounts.
100% satisfied. Great customer service, fast shipping. Great product. The prices are unbeatable. I won't buy from anyone else.

It has been nothing but great. Thank you for taking time to follow up with me. I appreciate it.
Has performed great for us. Only use it to support a bicycle mount but it is very stable and secure. Especially like the angle that it lowers at to allow the hatch back door of the 2018 Honda FIT to open completely. That was not the case with our previous hitch/2010 Honda FIT combination.
I bought this for my 2020 Honda Fit for the sole purpose to haul mountain bikes. The hitch was easy to install with basic hand tools. It hold the weight of my ebike along with a friends just fine.
Thank God for y'alls video or else this venture would not have happened. I needed a tow hitch for my bike because the trunk mount I had was too sketchy. This product fit perfectly on my 2016 Honda Fit.
Little note: Curt's install video either didn't show or vehicle wasn't equipped like mine but I had a 3rd muffler mount further back. That was a doosy getting off. Didn't have a lot of room to screw in the nut above muffler so I had to take the rear passenger off to use the torque wrench. Other than that, I love it!!
Excellent product. The hitch, 5" adapter, cargo carrier. Easy to put together, all the parts were there. Very fast delivery. Kudos to Lisa and E. Trailer for above and beyond products and service. I have a small car and it was packed when I went camping alone. Now daughter and I are doing a 3 week trip in June. More stuff.
Easy to fallow instructions, great design, and as always great customer service from etrailer. One thing I recomend is to google how to remove the rubber muffler isolator before you start the installation and you'll save some time.
I watched the video 3 times and found the hitch easy to put on once I got my dad to manhandle the exhaust clips. Small hitch for a small car. Looks good.
I bought this Curt hitch for my move from ohio to oklahoma since it was cheaper then driving a truck and then tow my car. The instillation was fast once I got everything situated since I did not have access to a lift. Thank goodness I’m a small women. Took me about an hour to finish the install but that includes the prep time.
Well planned fitting. The box is good for lying on. One hour from UPS delivery to fitted without lifting the car.I think the trickiest part is removing the wires before threading the nuts on.
Product installed very easily and only took maybe 20 minutes, hardest part was undoing the rubber exhaust hangers.
Great product, super easy to install everything fits great even on the muffler side. Took the muffler off is the hardest part of the installation
I have used etrailer for almost all of my car's trailer needs. The website is easy to navigate, along with the review section being valuable. The review section convinced to to stick with Curt rather than use the other available one due to a common modification a few folks mentioned about using the other one. Here's my notes regarding the hitch installation:
1. I use an inexpensive transmission jack to help me install my hitches. This allows one to dry fit the hitch, confirm which holes the fasteners need to be, and allows one to pass the wire through the holes in the hitch before attaching the nuts. It also allows one to hand tighten all three sides, which was useful due to my second note.
2. On the driver's side, there's a plastic fastener that comes very close to the hitch. By having the hitch loosely dry fitted in place, I managed to wiggle it a hair in order to clear this fastener. Otherwise, either 1. This fastener may have gotten damaged, or 2. The hitch may have ended up not flushed to the frame had that offending plastic fastener prevented the hitch from being fully seated against the frame.
3. Not hitch related, but wiring related: The Curt wiring kit want one to run a power lead from the battery all the way back to the trunk. Instead, I purchased piggy-back fuse holders which allows one to either tap and piggy back off an existing circuit or if, as is the case for my 2018 Honda Fit, simply employ a totally unused, switched +12V fuse. I am planning on using Fuse #2, which is located in the fuse box inside the car left of the steering wheel. Fuse #2 is the first column, second position down. This fuse box has 42 fuses, 6 columns, each with 7 fuses. Fuses 1-7 are in left most column, closest to the driver's door, followed by fuses 8-14, and finally to fuses 36-42. There's also a handy map attached to the steering wheel lower cover, which is easy to see after taking a quick pic of it from a phone.
Note: Now with hitch installed, as with all of my hitch equpped cars, one now gains an easy jack point useful for lifting up the rear of the car.

My Curt hitch is holding up well. My only complaint is that the hitchs clearances are such that its more difficult to and remove the hitch pin clip compared to the many other hitches Ive worked with, including other Curt hitches. No longer can I use my foot to seat the clip pin, as the side clearance of the hitch prevents one from being able to do this.
Awesome product. Who would have thought a little honda fit could turn into a total adventure machine? Very good product- worth the price
Have owned this for a year in New England and it has held up quite well. It is easy to install yourself, especially with the video etrailer provides. I've installed two so far-one on a 2016 Honda Fit, and one on a 2019 Subaru Crosstrek. I've been recommending the Curt trailer hitch and etrailer to friends and aquaintances.

Holding up great a year out carrying my heavy duty mountain bike rack over the fire roads of the great PNW.
Process was pretty easy and instructions were clear. Hardest part was getting the rubber hangar part for the muffler off and then back on again. Note: for the 2020 honda fit the rubber parts are rotated about 90 degrees from the video of how to do it linked.
I only use it for a bike rack, but has worked great all the times I've used it. Would definitely recommend.

James,Thank you for your review. If you are looking for a wiring harness that does not require splicing into your existing wiring I recommend Item # 119250KIT. This Tekonsha wiring harness is not consider a plug and play application but the sensors on this wiring harness clamp onto your factory tail light wiring to detect current but you will still have to run the black power wire to the cars battery.
