Question:

Curt III receiver and hitch rider Truckee 1 1/4 rack with generic 1 1/4 adapter. I have tried wood shims but this is still sloppy. Could I use this to stop the movement between the two pieces? Thanks

It is possible that the etrailer Anti-Rattle Hitch Stabilizer for 2" Hitches # e99007 you were looking at will secure your Truckee rack to the Curt Class III Trailer hitch receiver on your vehicle, but that will be dependent on the specific adapter you have.

If there is a portion of the adapter that sticks out past the face of the receiver that is 2", then the # e99007 will work perfectly.

If the 2" part of the adapter does not stick out past the face of the receiver you will need to use the Curt Stabilization Straps # 18050 to go from your Truckee rack to your vehicle or safety chain loops on your trailer hitch receiver.
