Will a 2020 GMC Sierra crew cab register miles when flat towed

According to a Certified GMC Tech I checked with, your 2020 GMC Sierra will not register the towed miles if your dashboard is not "live". Meaning, if you do not have the ignition on or in the accessory position when flat towing there will be no power to the electronic items that register the rotation/movement of the wheels.

To flat tow your 2020 GMC Sierra, you will need a base plate kit, tow bar, safety cables, a lighting solution, and a supplemental braking system. If you need some or all of these parts, please let me know and I will be happy to make some recommendations. I have also attached an article on flat towing that you might find helpful.

The Demco adapter part #DM9523023 wouldn't work for that application as it's for going from a Roadmaster to Demco so you'd need something like the part #BX88310 which goes from Blue Ox base plates to a Demco tow bar.
