Replacement for Shelby 5408B Boat Trailer Winch

Question:
I have an 07 heritage trailer with a Shelby 5408b winch. The winch pin or stopperinch sheered off the other day. The boat has a dry weight of 3,700lbs. What winch and strap do you recommend for replacement?

The Jif Marine 2-Speed Trailer Winch part # 315-W3200D would be an excellent option to replace the Shelby 5408B Winch (1,900 lbs). It has a 3,200 lb capacity which will be suited for boats up to two times this so there should be no issues with the winch prematurely wearing down. It comes with a strap as well so no need to install one.
