Question:

I have to replace my winch on my boat trailer, its rated for 2800 lbs. I cant find one thats the same the model number 5470A. I find some rated for 2600 lbs and 3200 lbs my boat is a 21 ft sun deck

You have a Shelby winch. Shelby is no longer in business so that exact winch is no longer available. But there are many other winches you could use even if the capacity is not exactly the same.

A 3,200 pound winch such as # F412425 is a great option. This winch was designed for marine applications, so it is an excellent boat winch. It comes with a strap which is naturally corrosion resistant.

If you are looking for something a little more budget friendly the Jif Marine winch # 315-W3200D is a great option. It also comes with a strap so it is ideal for marine applications. It also features a brake.

For your application I would definitely go with a winch with a strap and would not go under the capacity of the original winch. That narrows down the field pretty far. I have linked videos on the 2 winches listed above.
