Which Stake Pocket Fits a Standard 2x4 Without Cutting the 2x4

Question:

looking for a bracket that i can weld on that will fit a regular piece of 2x4 WITHOUT cutting it for side wall for my trailer... thank you

The inside dimensions of the # C83072 Curt Stake Pocket for Flatbed Trucks or Trailers are 3-3/4" long x 1-5/8" wide x 3" tall. A standard 2x4 measures 3-1/2" wide x 1-1/2" thick. Given these dimensions the 2x4 should fit inside of the bracket without a need to cut anything.
