Features to know about

Keep Your Rig Level Under Load: 6,000-lb Rear Suspension Support

Heavy trailers, campers, or bed cargo can make the rear end sag and the front lift. The Timbren Suspension Enhancement System adds up to 6,000 lbs of load-leveling support to keep your vehicle level and steady. The hollow rubber springs sit above the rear axle and work with your factory suspension so steering, traction, and braking stay consistent even when you’re hauling serious weight.

Smooth Ride Over Rough Roads: Progressive Rubber Spring Design

When bumps or dips hit, these Aeon hollow rubber springs compress gradually for a smoother ride. The convoluted design collapses along its folds first, then stiffens as weight increases. That means it stays soft and comfortable under light loads but firms up automatically when you’re towing or hauling heavy gear. It absorbs road shock, reduces bounce, and helps prevent bottoming out on rough terrain.

Stay Steady in Crosswinds and Turns: Independent Spring Action

Each Timbren spring works on its own side of the vehicle to cut down on sway and body roll. When you swerve or take a corner, the springs respond independently to keep the vehicle planted. This independent action also helps when loads are off-center—keeping both sides balanced and improving control if a gust of wind hits your trailer or a semi passes you on the highway.

Install It Once and Get Rolling: Simple Bolt-On Setup

There’s no air compressor, hoses, or gauges to deal with—just bolt the custom-fit brackets onto the frame above the rear axle. Each spring sits about 1 inch above the axle for normal ride comfort when unloaded. With included hardware and no drilling required, this suspension upgrade installs easily in your driveway so you can get back to towing or hauling with confidence.

Video Transcript for Ultimate Overview of the Timbren Suspension Enhancement System-T67KR

Hello neighbors, welcome back. I'm Steven here at etrailer.com. Today, you're joining me where we look at these Timbren Suspension Enhancement System for the rear axle. Now folks, this is a custom fit. It's gonna fit a 2023 through the current year Toyota Sequoias. Make sure you're using our fit guide at etrailer.com, top center of our page.

Enter the year, make, and model, and we'll get you the right parts the first time. And what these do, folks, if you're not familiar with them, they basically improve suspension and handling and overall safety by providing additional support when you need it the most to have the most comfortable smooth ride possible. And what they do is they allow your leaf spring ample movement while cushioning light loads, and they actually become more rigid or more stiff when they're compressed and you have more weight, which is gonna give you greater performance when you have those higher, heavier loads. It can help reduce sag, increased stability, they work independently side to side, and they also help compensate for off-center loads. They're gonna help you reduce body roll, like if you have to swerve or you turn a corner too tight.

And they also act as a basic shock absorber. They'll take a lot of the bumps, the rough road out of your ride, that kind of stuff. They will technically extend the life of your vehicle suspension because this will take most of that brunt of those constant bumps and that kind of stuff. Now what these are is they are two Aeon hollow rubber springs with custom brackets and spacers. I've got 'em just loosely put together here, but real simply, it's got a spacer block here.

You got the hollow rubber Aeon spring. There's a big washer in there that you saw, the nut goes underneath there. This gets bolted down into place. And then you use the existing hardware off of your factory bump stop that you removed, and this goes right back in place where that factory one came off of using the same hardware. So, pretty quick, easy install, no drilling whatsoever required.

It installs directly into your frame. You've already got pre-threaded holes there. This just simply replaces that. You put it right back in place where the old one was. Now this will give you a load level capacity of 6,000 pounds. Keep in mind, this is, again, just an enhancement. You're not adding any extra capacity to your vehicle. I think a lot of people get these kind of things and they think, "Oh, now I can haul 6,000 more pounds." That's not the case. Again, this is just a load leveling capacity. So it's helping your current factory suspension by giving it a little boost that it needs to keep everything level and that kind of thing. Well folks, that's gonna do it for our look today at this Timbren Suspension Enhancement System for your rear axle. I'm Steve here at etrailer.com. Thank you so much for your time. Thanks for watching. Have fun installing these.

Great turn around I needed this before our trip! And it got to my door within 4days of placing my order.

Thank you!

by:

Works as advertised

by:

Install was super easy! Gives us more stability in towing our trailer.

by:

Poorly packaged for shipping, I don’t know if it is missing any hardware yet as I have not opened the box yet. In the future, drop things like this in a box please, save us both the trouble of replacing missing hardware if this is the case.

This part was here the next day. Watched the video on installation. Super easy to install. Great product great service.

by:

Excellent product. Install was relative painless as well, took about ten minutes.

by:

Good job worked perfectly!

by:

Timbren suspension is super good and the best way to not spend a lot for towing. also are my second Timbren suspension. Tundra 2023 and Sequoia 2024. 38' and 24' travel trailer

by:

Significantly reduced squatting when towing my travel trailer!

by:

Seems to do a pretty good job. It feels like they add a little boost at the bottom of the suspension travel so our trailer is easier to manage.

by:

Works great and easy to install

by:

Installed on my 2024 Toyota Tacoma Sport TRD, seems well made and easy to install, used both of the spacers, sits about an inch above the axle on each side for normal driving. We will be headed out towing our RV this weekend, expecting a huge difference, stock, the bed dropped a little bit too much which affected higher speed breaking on curves on Pacheco Pass in California where it also gets gusty winds.

The Timbren SES (Bump Stop) replacement for the 3rd Gen Sequoia is a simple and effetive solution to reduce vehicle sag when trailering heavy loads. You definately want to use the included spacer as the pics will show I still had 2 finger clearance above the axle to allow for OEM suspension travel. I pulled my 29ft boat back to back with / without the Timbren bump stops for a ride quality test. Without the bump stops, my 2024 Sequoia rear end was crushed, resulting in a rough ride and poor handling characteristics. With the Timbern bump stops, the rear sag was reduced signifincantly, and the vehicle drove much better. YES, you will feel and occasional bottom out feeling on abrupt G-out dips... But it is no worse than without the Timberns as the stock springs were crushed. My daily drive feels exactly the same as I have the perfect gap between the Timbren bump stop and the axle allowing the OEM suspension to float over road surface without engaging the bump stops. VERDICT: Time will tell with varied passenger loads, speeds, road surface bumps etc., but my initial impression is 7 out of 10. Ultimately, I would prefer air bags, and may install them along with the Timbrens whih I can swap back to the oem bump stop in less than 15 minutes. NOTE: I was able to install the Timbren bump stops without going under the Sequoia. I simply raised the vehicle frame aprox. 4" withoug picking up the rear tire. This gave me adequate room to reach in over the tire and remove the 3 12MM bolts holding the OEM bump stop in place with a 3/8" ratchet and a 4" extension. Then, I put the Timbren bump stop in place and lightly threaded the upper bolt to hold in place. After installing the two lower bolts and smart torquing, then you tighten the top bolt. This allows the bracket to seat against the frame fully as the top bolt hole is slotted to allow movement druing install. Pics will show spacers installed above the bump stops, Installed bump stops unloaded with 2 finger gap, spacers loaded with 750 lbs of tongue weight, and lastly, will show Sequoia stance while loaded. NOTE: The last picture will show my Sequoia loaded WITHOUT the Timbren SES (Bump Stops) and the vehicle is sagging heavily.

I just installed Timbrens in our 2024 Sequoia Capstone. It has 22" wheels so I was able to slide under the rear axel and swap out the factory parts without jacking or removing the the wheels. It took me about 20 minutes to do both sides. With no load I can fit almost two fingers between the axel and the bottom of the Timbren. I tow a 29' boat that has about 600-700 lbs of tounge weight. The Sequoia sits pretty level and rides great. I had a 2010 Sequoia before this one that I installed manual rear coil airbags that worked well. I like the Timbrens as there is no pumping every time I tow.

by:

Easy install on gen 4 Tacoma. Running heavy with pop up camper and gear. No more sag and running smooth with no sway on pavement and off road. Love these so far!

by:

They seem great, and the install was easy and quick. With a 1/2" gap, they are not activated during normal driving, but kick in to reduce the sag while towing my trailer by half, and offer support past that point, that takes the heat off the coils. The factory bump stops were half as long, and made the springs do all the work.
Even the Timbrens bracket is beefy, and for thicker than the factory parts.

by:

Installing was super easy on my 2025 Tacoma SR. I did not have to jack the frame up or even removing the tires. I used both spacers on each side. I get 1.5 inch between the rubber and the axle. I will be loading a slide-in camper in the fall.

by:

Great, much better than air bags, when trailer is not attached it retains factory ride, when loaded it stabilizes and supports, and levels the truck. And rides smooth when loaded too because of the weight. Highly recommend them.

by:

I'm suitably impressed with the difference i feel.
I have about 250 lbs. of static load with my topper and Decked cargo system. This put my install gap with no spacers just under the reccomended 1 inch minimum. Then add a couple hundred more pounds hauling music gear 100 shows a year, and the stop is resting on the axle.
I feel the absorption of the Timbren material is better than the flimsy stock bump stops. More cushion.
Where i really feel the difference is in the stabilty of excessive side sway when turning while loaded.
I have a gig coming up that will involve some unpaved mountain roads to get there so I think i will have a real goid idea of how these Timbren's will perform.
Instalation took me about an hour at 11 p.m.
The product it of the highest quality in design and build.
And Etrailer is a company that I would not hesitate to buy from in the future.
Thanks Dee Dee.
You rawk!!

Love hearing this! Really appreciate the detailed feedback and photos. That extra stability when you're loaded up can make a huge difference. And installing them at 11 at night—that's commitment. Hope they treat you just as well on those mountain roads. Safe travels and we'll definitely make sure Dee Dee gets the shoutout.

@ChristopherH Dee Dee was great. Tell her I owe her a coffee!????

by:

The Timbren overload spring/bumper was east to install and did what it was supposed to do when I hitched up a camp trailer. These did not negatively affect the ride by any means and I don't have to worry about the troubles with air bags.

by:

The timbres bump stop is exactly the right height to meet the axel when the trailer is connected with all its weight onto the hitch. I have an Andersen weight distribution hitch and it levels out perfectly. The day picture is with the coach (Winn 2100bh) with factory equipment. The night picture is after the timbres are in place. Looks good.

They definitely look like they are helping, Orlando! How are they when you aren't towing? We hear a lot of people say they can be pretty harsh when unloaded.

  • Roadactive Suspension Kit that Fits 2024 Toyota Tacoma
Hey John, I checked with Roadactive (formerly Roadmaster) and they do have a kit that fits your 2024 Toyota Tacoma with the part # RAS4514-SAT but it seems like it doesn't fit the 24 models actually as the truck has coil suspension so instead the Timbren kit part # T67KR would be a great option.

  • How to Address a Sagging Issue w/ a 9,500 lbs Trailer and a Toyota Sequoia
Hey Roy, that sounds like a fun trip! I recommend addressing your sagging issue with a weight distribution system not air bags. The best one for your trailer is going to be the Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution System w/ 4-Point Sway Control item # EQ37140ET. This system works with tongue weights ranging from 1,000 lbs - 1,400 lbs so it'll be perfect for your trailer when loaded. The Equal-i-zer item # EQ37140ET works by distributing the weight more evenly to the tow vehicle. This is how...

  • Rear Suspension Enhancement Kit that Fits 2024 Toyota Tacoma 4WD
Hey John, so the 2024 Toyota Tacoma is a new designed truck so they currently only have a 2WD version fit with the part # F2410. For 23' the 4WD fit version is the # F2407 but it hasn't been carried over to the 24' models. Right now all we have is a Timbren fit with the part # T67KR which will do a great job reducing the sag.

  • Will Air Bags Help w/ Towing and Leveling on a 2023 Toyota Sequioa?
Hey Roy welcome back. I took a look at your Sequioa's suspension and it does look like the Firestone Coil-Rite Air Helper Springs item # F4124 would be helpful. These mount inside your Toyota's coil springs and will provide extra support before the Timbren item # T67KR engage. Did you ever go back and look at your weight distribution system to see if it was set up properly?

  • Can You Use The Timbren Jounce Springs On A Vehicle With A Lift?
Hey Brandon, You can definitely use the Timbren #T67KR on a vehicle with a lift kit. I would recommend getting the lift kit before installing these. There are specific spacers that are needed for the springs that are dependent on how much the lift kit raises your vehicle. In order to find the spacers you would have to measure the gap between the frame and rear axle after it's lifted and then we can get the right spacers for it. It is definitely doable but I would recommend lifting the...
