If your trailer has flush mount lights like the Optronics Sealed Oval LED Tail Light, # STL70RB, then I have two ways for you to remove your old taillights from your Haulmark Cargo Trailer. These taillights are sealed, therefore, you need to change the entire assembly, not just the bulbs inside.

If you have access to the backside of the light from the inside of your cargo trailer and your lights are hardwired, then you need to cut the wires close to the old taillight and gently push it from the inside out.

If your taillight has a disconnect on it then you need to disconnect the connector and push the light gently out from the inside of the trailer.

If you cannot get to the backside of the light from the inside of the trailer you need to use either a flat head screwdriver or some like tool to pry the light out from the outside of the trailer. If you have to get the light out this way, a co-worker has applied a small amount of vegetable oil around the grommet of the light to ease the removal. When you removed the light from the trailer, if it is hardwired, then you need to cut the wires as close to the light as possible, and if it uses a connector, you simply need to disconnect.

I have also attached a helpful link from another QandA which contains a short video demonstrating how to remove a flush mount light.

When you install Optronics part # STL70RB, you will need to order grommet part #A70GB. A pigtail is also required for installation: part #A45PB is for the straight connector or part #A47PB is for the right angle connector. If you need a mounting bracket, part #BK70BB will work.

If you have a different style of lights on your trailer, then let me know how they are attached or send me a photo and I can give you a more specific recommendations for removal.
