My roof is only 1 1/2 inches, what do you mean by framing in boards

The Advent Air RV Air Conditioner w/ Air Distribution Box, Start Capacitor, and Heat Strip - 15,000 Btu Item # ACM150CH requires a roof thickness of 2-1/2" to 5". You'll need to build the roof up at least another inch thicker and the framing in boards are to make the hole the correct size and hold the rooftop unit. The rooftop units can weigh close to 100lbs so you have to reinforce your roof weight capacity to ensure the unit won't fall through the roof.
