Is there a scale to determine what the potential tongue weight is of a 10,000 pound weight distribution hitch? Meaning if a weight distribution hitch can handle a max of 10,000 pounds, would there be a scale to what the tonight weight capabilities is for that hitch?

There is a minimum and maximum tongue weight range for 10000lb weight distribution hitches, but the range can be slightly different between brands.

For example the Blue Ox SwayPro Weight Distribution w/ Sway Control - Clamp On - 10,000 lbs GTW, 1,000 lbs TW # BLU66FR has a 10000lb trailer weight rating and works with tongue weights between 750-1000lbs.

Where the Fastway e2 Weight Distribution w/ 2-Point Sway Control - Round - 2-5/16" Hitch Ball - 10K GTW # FA94-00-1061 works with tongue weights between 600-1000lbs.
