Question:
Hello. I have a 1200 watt solar panel system charging four Battle Born Batteries, 100AH each. I would like to connect the Progressive Dynamics Inteli-Power RV Converter and Battery Charger - Lithium - 12V - 60 Amps Item # PD9160ALV the the battery bank and plug into my Honda 2200 inverter generator to keep the chatge going in the absence of sunshine. Will the 60 amp work for that purpose? Thanks,

I don't have a fool proof way of selecting the proper charge converter amperage rating because it is not based solely off the battery capacity but rather this combined with the load the trailer uses. Therefore, the best option would be to go with the same amperage the trailer came with, part # PD9130LV for 30 amps, part # PD9140ALV for 40 amps, part # PD9145ALV for 45 amps, part # PD9160ALV for 60 amps, or part # PD9180ALV for 80 amps. If the trailer did not come with a charge converter I would go with the part # PD9145ALV for 45 amps or part # PD9160ALV for 60 amps but again it really comes down to how much power the trailer is using.
