Question:
I’m looking for a complete kit that will include everything need to pull a trailer. I read a previous comment saying I needed an additional wire harness for the trailer lights. Seeing how I’m not sure what exact parts I need I would like to ask for the part number needed to get a complete set up for a 2005 Buick lesabre limited. I’m only able to pull the weight that the Buick is rated for so no sense of getting a 3500lb tow hitch and only can use 1000 lbs of that weight. So please follow up with me because I would like to have this yesterday. Lol. Thank you for your help in advance, look forward to hearing from you

Happy to help and we can get your 2005 Buick LeSabre completely set up to tow a trailer. What you'll need is a hitch, wiring, a ball mount, and hitch ball to do this. The exact parts that fit your '05 LeSabre are the following:
- Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C12044
- Hopkins Active Tail Light Converter with Install Kit # 46255
- Curt Drawbar for 1-1/4" Hitches # C45520
- 2" Hitch Ball # C40018 or 1-7/8" Hitch Ball # C40001
- Curt Hitch Pin and Clip # F-4
While you (very understandably) mentioned not needing a hitch rated for 3,500 lbs, hitches are custom-fits for vehicles, which means there isn't another option than the 3,500 lb-rated Curt # C12044 for your '05 LeSabre (hitches being rated for more than the vehicle can tow is very common). With this hitch, Curt also requires the use of the drawbar I listed, and you can choose the correct size hitch ball based on your trailer's coupler size.
The pin and clip is also needed in order to secure the drawbar to your hitch. And with those parts, you'll be all set up to tow with your 2005 LeSabre.
