I have a 2013 jeep wrangler and want to know if I can use this kit just to maintain my tow vehicle battery while traveling, or does this only work with a Demco system.

You could use the Demco Towed Vehicle Battery Charge Kit part # DM66VR on your 2013 Jeep Wrangler regardless of what flat towing setup you have since it's design is universal.
