Does The Dutton-Lainson Hand Winch DL14725 Have The Same Overall Dimensions As A DL1802A

Question:

My current winch is a DL1802A and I need to know if the dimensions and mounting characteristics are the same for DL14725. My winch is installed inside a cover, and I need to make sure this will fit. Can you compare the 2 side by side and let me know? Thank you

The mounting pattern for the Dutton-Lainson Hand Winch - TUFFPLATE Finish - 2 Speed - Direct Drive - 2,000 lbs # DL14725 you were looking at is the exact same as your current DL1802A, but the overall dimensions of the winches are different.

The overall width of your DL1802A is 6-7/8" wide where the # DL14725 is narrower at 6-15/32" wide, but the # DL14725 is 8-13/16" long where your DL1802A is only 8-1/8" long. Without knowing the specifics of your cover I am not sure if it will work with these dimensions, but you can use them to measure off of your current winch to get a good idea if it will fit.
