Troubleshooting An Everchill RV Refrigerator Powering Off Randomly

Question:

Why is my ever chill 12 DC refrigerator kicking out after 2 minutes of coming on then going back off and it keeps doing this over and over and over when I reset it? Its a model WD-282FWDC-6

Your Everchill RV Refrigerator w/ Freezer Item # 324-000119 could have a couple of issues causing your problems.

You could be having a voltage drop from your battery which can be fixed by upgrading the wire gauge. Check to see how many volts you're getting to your fridge, it should be at least 11.5v to properly work. I've attached a guide for wire gauge thickness per distance for you.

It could also be that your drain line is clogged. I recommend taking the back off of the fridge and you'll see a tube leading into a drain pan. You'll be able to clean this out with an extender pipe cleaner. I recommend unplugging and leaving the door open and fully defrosting the fridge to ensure it works properly the next time you start it up.
