Heavy Duty Trailer Hitch Receiver For 2019 Ram 1500 With Class III Bumper Hitch

Question:
Hello, I just picked up my new Ram 1500 Tradesman and want to install a heavy duty hitch receiver. Looking at the frame structure that exists, attachment to bumper components and a place for a ball on top of the bumper, are there. But there is also a piece welded to this frame member that appears to interfere with ay other hitch installation. It protrudes from the bottom toward the ground and has a place to connect the safety chains if towing. Most of the hitches I see bolt to this member on the forward facing side as well as fitting nicely against the member. This chunk of steel, welded to the member, appears to be in the way. As well as there are no holes for this forward bolting. How does one of your hitch receivers mate up to this member? See attached photos.

The Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch Receiver # 41913 is the correct heavy duty receiver for your 2019 Ram 1500. This will replace factory installed bumper ball mount style hitch that is on your Ram. I have linked a video below that shows us installing the new receiver on a 2019 Ram Bighorn. This hitch is rated for 1,700lbs of tongue weight and 15,000lbs towing or 17,000lbs towing with a weight distribution hitch. Be aware that this will not increase your towing capacity's given by Ram for your specific truck.
