Is Fascia Trimming Required to Install a Stealth Hitch SH54FR on a 2021 Stelvio?
Updated 05/27/2021 | Published 05/24/2021 >
Question:
I am looking at hitch for 2021 Alfa Stelvio regular engine, not Quad. Competitor hitches non stealth brand show having to trim parts of the valance / fascia etc because the receiver doesnt fully clear things. I am trying to look at Stealths instructions to see what parts of the valance, fascia, underbody need to be trimmed but the links on your web site and Stealths directly to the instructions are not working. I get a Shopify CDN error when clicking on them. Can you share the instructions PDF or provide comment on what parts get trimmed? Also, is there any wiggle in the receiver using the stealth hitch vs a full one-piece solution like from Curt or Drawtite? I only plan on attaching a bike rack.

I spoke to Stealth Hitches about installing # SH54FR on your 2021 Alfa Romeo Stelvio, and it does require trimming as well. I included a picture of what will need to be trimmed as well.
Though the receiver portion of the # SH54FR is detachable, these are very secure and allow little to no movement at all. A fully welded hitch will of course be more secure, these come very very close to being just as solid.
