Replacement Option For Thule Helium TH971XT With Discontinued Shank

Question:

We have an older Helium aERO 3 bike rack and the shank on your site looks a bit different than the one on our rack. Will the one on your site be able to replace ours? Can we send you a picture of ours to check? Thanks!

Thank you so much for the photo it was really helpful, and based off of that what you have is the Thule Helium TH971XT. I checked with Thule directly regarding a replacement shank, but it has been discontinued for some time. While I know it's not the news you were wanting to hear, the best option we can offer is a replacement with the newest version of the Helium 3-bike rack:

This is the newest version of the Helium rack, and will be an upgrade with its higher quality, more secure cradles that tighten to the exact measurements of your bike's tube, a lighter weight of just 20 lbs, and a higher per-bike capacity of 37-1/2 lbs.
