Question:
Hi, I need to purchase 4 drums for my Dexter axles, 7000lb, 16 1/2inch wheels, 25580 inner bearing, 1/2inch studs and would like to know what the difference is between item code#42866UC3-EZ and item code#8-219-4UC3-EZ I dont necessarily want to go cheap but they look about the same to me. I can certainly afford the lower cost one a whole lot more than the other. Thank you

There is very little difference between the two. Both hub/drums are for a 7K axle, and have an 8 on 6-1/2 inch bolt pattern with 1/2 inch wheel studs. Either hub/drum includes the bearings, races, grease seal, lug nuts and E-Z Lube dust cap. The # 42866UC3-EZ also includes the spindle nut and the retainer for the spindle nut.
The # 8-219-4UC3-EZ includes everything mentioned above, except for the spindle nut and retainer. The only other difference is that the # 8-219-4UC3-EZ uses a grease seal with a 2.125 inner diameter, while the
# 42866UC3-EZ seal has a 2.25 inner diameter. Other than those differences, the hub/drums are identical.
If the lesser expensive option includes the wrong grease seal, you can purchase the seals separately as part # RG06-090 and still save a few bucks.
I've linked to an install video that you might find helpful.
