Question:
Hi, Yesterday I ordered a set of Dexter 4400 lb K23-462-00 and K23-463-00 brake assemblies for my 2011 Cougar 27RKS XLite and was hoping you could provide the torque spec for the 4 mounting bolt nuts that secure the brake assemblies to the axle flange. You help would be much appreciated. Kind regards

Expert Reply:
According to Dexter, 10" Electric Brake Assemblies like the # K23-462-00 and # K23-463-00 should be secured to the axle with brake mounting hardware like the # BRKH10B. The # BRKH10B should be tightened to between 45-ft/lbs and 70-ft/lbs.
