Installing The Camco RV Drain Trap For 3/4" Hose
Updated 05/07/2021 | Published 05/06/2021 >
Question:
The threads are not tight, is this supposed to seal against a rubber gasket? I tried that and it leaks when the sink is full. Am I supposed to use putty or silicone at the top flange?

When installing the # CAM37262 you need to unscrew the top half of the drain trap from the bottom half and screw it onto your 1-3/4" drain tightly and then you can attach the bottom portion back on to the top using two of the four mounting spots with the two screws provided to position the 3/4" drain hole in the direction you need it in. You can use some plumbers putty as extra protection but with the threads tight and the rubber gasket you should be fine.
