Can 17" Jeep Wheels W/ 5 on 5" Bolt Pattern Be Used On Off-Road Trailer?

Question:
What hubs do you suggest for my stock 17 inch Aluminum wheels on my 2016 Jeep Rubicon. The Wheels are 5x5 with 1/2 holes

I have another option for you, but at this time we do not offer a hub with the 5 on 5" bolt pattern that is rated for 17" wheels. For example the Trailer Idler Hub Assembly for 3,500-lb Axles - 5 on 5 - Pre-Greased # 84550BX you were looking at are only rated for up to 15" wheels.
The reason for this is the size of the hub will not give enough support for a 17" wheels and could cause a catastrophic failure like a wheel braking off if you hit something hard like a curb, or a bike rock while off roading.
Instead I recommend going with a 15" diameter wheel.
I included a link to all of our 15" diameter wheels with the 5 on 5" bolt pattern for you to take a look at.
