Features to know about

Built for Daily Towing: 15" x 6" Steel Wheel Rated at 2,200 lbs

When you’re hauling heavy loads day after day, you want a wheel that’s up for it. The Dexstar Steel Spoke Trailer Wheel measures 15" in diameter and 6" wide, giving plenty of support for common trailer tire sizes like 205/75-15 or 225/75-15. It’s rated at 2,050 lbs at 75 psi and meets DOT specifications, so it’s ready for consistent towing duty without second-guessing its strength.

Fights Off Rust and Road Grime: White Powder Coat Over E-Coat Primer

Corrosion is the enemy of any long-lasting trailer setup, especially when exposed to water or road salt. This wheel uses a durable steel construction protected by an e-coat primer and white powder coat finish that seals out moisture. That combination keeps it cleaner and helps prevent rust from forming on the spokes and lip, even after years of use.

Balanced Fit and Straight Tracking: 5 on 4-1/2" Pattern with Zero Offset

A proper fit means reliable handling every time you tow. This wheel uses the common 5 on 4-1/2" bolt pattern, a pilot diameter of 3.19", and a zero offset that centers the load evenly across the hub face. The balanced design helps maintain straight tracking under load while ensuring your tires wear evenly mile after mile.

Reliable Highway Performance: DOT-Compliant Design with Heavy-Duty Build

For drivers clocking serious highway miles, the Dexstar steel construction and spoke design provide consistent performance at speed. Each wheel meets Department of Transportation standards for safety and durability, giving peace of mind when running long distances or hauling in demanding conditions.

Determining Bolt Pattern

1. Count the lug holes

Look at the wheel hub or the back of the wheel and count how many lug holes there are(also called bolt holes).

Common configurations include: 4-lug, 5-lug, 6-lug and 8 lug

2a. For even lug counts (4-lug, 6-lug, 8-lug)

Measure from the center of one lug hole directly across to the center of the hole opposite it.

Center to Center
Common configurations: 4 on 4", 6 on 5.5", 8 on 6.5"

2b. For odd lug counts (5-lug)

Measure from the center of one lug hole to the outer edge of the hole directly across (not center-to-center since there's no directly opposite hole).

Center to Outside Edge
Common configurations: 5 on 4.5" (most popular), 5 on 5", 5 on 4.75", 5 on 5.5"

by:

Definitely disappointed. I waited an extra week and a half as they only had one in stock. One had 3/16" sideways wobble and one had that plus 1/8" vertical wobble. Pinstriping looked like a 3 year old did it. worst trailer rims I've ever purchased or mounted tires on. Will definitely make me think twice before ordering again if this is their acceptable quality. I'll pull my new tires back off these and mount some scrubs just for Spares, but I'm not going to run these on my trailer and put up with the endless vibrations.

by:

These rims do not fair well in a salt water environment even if you wash them down after every time the trailer is dipped in the water. I would spend the money next time and purchase galvanized or even aluminum wheels. I will be replacing them this year since the spokes as they attach to the rim seem suspect. May be a great choice is a fresh water environment but not in salt water.

by:

Item as described. Fast shipping.

by:

They fit right on and look good.

by:

Great price and prompt delivery!

by:

5 stars on the part, 2 stars on packaging. Rims were not damaged, purchased two. They were shipped in a box meant for rims with tires and they were just thrown in with no packaging besides a divider and they were just rolling around inside the box. I would have expected this in a 16x16x12 box with a bit of packaging, but came in something like a 60x30x10 box

by:

Great product.

by:

I received the wheels and am very happy with them. Have tires mounted and installed on my trailer. Wheels have a good finish that should look good for years.

Look nice also.

by:

Great wheel! Perfect replacement for 1997 Sunnybrook 5th wheel.

by:

Great product made in USA and Fast secure shipping with no damage. The only negative was a sticker applied to inside of the wheel on the bead seal ring that was difficult to remove. Needed to remove to insure airtight seal between the tire and rim.

by:

Over the past year we have pulled the camper over 12,000 miles. The wheels have held up well with no problems. They clean up easily and still look as good as they did when purchased. Very pleased!

by:

I bought a set of these wheels to replace my 20 year old trailer wheels and I’m very happy with the purchase. That look great, everything fit well. I’ve had no problems and would recommend them to anyone looking for a new set of trailer wheels.

by:

wheels seem good. one had a 3/4" spot that the powder coat is rubbed off. Quality control fail. The spot is on the tire bead seal area. I will have to paint it before I mount the tires or return it.

by:

Very impressed by the construct of the wheels . They are made in the USA ! and at a reasonable price. They arrived by UPS in a very heavy duty cardboard box with with cardboard and paper separating the two wheels. I was very impressed . No damage at all to box or wheels . Thumbs up to shipping department !

by:

by:

These are the same wheels and match the ones on trailer that are 10 years old. Changing from single axle to tandum. Very pleased.

by:

Very nice wheels. Glad they're American made. Heavy duty and perfectly painted. Look good on my utility trailer!

by:

Great packing and shipping was on schedule , good value and will be looking for towards future purchases ,

by:

  • Can 15" x 6" Wheels Be Used to Replace 15" x 5" Wheels
Arlin, don't worry - those two wheels are virtually interchangeable. The 15" x 6" like # AM20522 is only ~1/2" wider than the 15" x 5" wheels like # AM20422 that you currently use, so the difference is negligible. If there is anything else I can help you with feel free to leave a comment below and I'd be happy to help!

  • Do You Have a 14" or 15" Wheel w/a 2.8" Pilot Hole?
Hey Richard. We do not have a rim that large with a 2.8" pilot hole. A 2.8" pilot hole will typically be found on wheels in the 8" to 10" range. All of our 14" or 15" trailer wheels like the item # AM20522 you were looking at are lug centric and are centered by the torque of the lug bolts. The pilot hole size is less important than that on vehicle wheels, which are hub centric and use the pilot hole to center the wheel. What kind of trailer do you have?

Thanks for reaching out, Derek! According to my research you have 225/75R15 tires with a 5on 4-1/2" bolt pattern for the wheels on your 1995 Dutchman 35FL, so for a replacement tire I recommend the Dexstar Steel Spoke Trailer Wheel # AM20522. If you also need replacement tires then the Karrier ST225/75R15 Radial Trailer Tire with 15" White Wheel # AM32459 is what I recommend.

We do indeed have the wheel you're looking for. Dexstar's part number is 017-149-1x, but the distributor we get the wheel from, Americana uses # AM20522 which is the number we also use. This is a US manufactured 15x6 white powder coated steel spoke trailer wheel with the typical pinstripes. The bolt pattern is 5 lug on a 4-1/2 inch bolt circle with a 3.19 inch pilot diameter. It uses the 5 on 4.5" bolt pattern which is common and is 15" in diameter. I was unable to confirm the tire size that originally came on your 2003 Casita and also the bolt pattern to be able to confirm these for you. • Need 15 Inch Rim With Positive Offset to Decrease Trailer Width
You'd need to find a wheel with a positive offset, which would move the tire closer to the trailer. If your trailer has a 5 on 4-1/2 inch bolt pattern (see linked FAQ article) we offer a conventional wheel with a positive 1/2 inch offset, part # AM20504. This wheel would decrease the width of your trailer by 1 inch. I might be able to find a wheel with a slightly larger offset, but I'd need to know your wheel bolt pattern.
