Question:

I have 2016 Silverado 3500 HD duramax and 2008 Heartland Cyclone 32, toy hauler. I need a hitch that is not too heavy so I can take off and on by myself. If I need to take apart to remove section, this is OK. I also want the under the bed pack system. Finally, I want to be able to have some kind of hard cover that could stay on the truck when I am using the hitch even if open. I do not want to remove the cover every time I attach the hitch. Any suggestions please.

If you want a 20K hitch I suggest the B&W Companion OEM 5th Wheel Hitch for Chevy/GMC with towing prep package, # BWRVK3700, or the # BWRVK3705 for a 25K unit. The B&W hitch is possibly one of the best hitches on the market. The Companion OEM features a dual jaw for excellent jaw-to-king-pin contact and a cam-action handle for simple release and it easily removes for full bed access. The hitch head will release from the base allowing it to be removed in two sections. Please note the links to product review and installation videos for a more thorough display of the hitch. In addition, there is the B&W 5th Wheel Lifting Device for Companion and Patriot Hitches, # BWRVXA3130. This heavy-duty steel tool lets you lift your B&W 5th-wheel hitch from your truck bed with a hoist.

As for tonneau covers, we have several options. There is the Pace Edwards Switchblade Retractable Hard Tonneau Cover - Aluminum and Vinyl - Black, # 311-SWC96A18. You can install this retractable, hard tonneau cover on your Chevrolet Silverado 3500 in about 10 minutes, and you can completely remove it just as quickly for full bed access. Aluminum and vinyl deck has strength of a hard cover and seamless look of a soft cover. If you want a more basic roll up type then I suggest the TruXedo Deuce 2 Soft Tonneau Cover, # TX772201.

Then there is top of the line Pace Edwards Bedlocker Retractable Hard Tonneau Cover - Electric - Aluminum - Black, # 311-BLC8569.
