Today we're going to take a look at the BMW fifth wheel lifting device for the Companion and Patriot hitches. Now, this is a heavy duty steel tool that'll let you list your BMW fifth wheel hitch from your truck bed with the hoists. It is designed to work with the BMW Companion series or the Patriot 5th wheel hitches.Basically this will lower down into the fifth wheel hitch and the jaws of the fifth wheel clamp around this device for a nice secure grip. Then you just attach a hoisting cable to the opening right up here. Now, the hoisting cable is not included. Then you'll just lift your hitch straight out of your truck bed.
Makes it very easy to remove your fifth wheel from your truck.This is a steel construction. It's a nice gray color. Now the maximum load capacity on this tool is 500 pounds, so you do not want to lift loads over 500 pounds. This part is made in the USA, but that should do it for the review on the BMW fifth wheel lifting device for Companion and Patriot hitches.

Lifting device continues to work fine after a year. No issues.
I have used a B &W hitch for several years, and would be hard pressed to use any other brand. The problem I have experienced with this hitch is it is quite heavy, and awkward to remove from my truck by myself. When I found the B &W lifting device, I was excited to use it, and save my back! It has helped me tremendously as I recently broke my back and unable to lift the things I used to. Thanks to etrailer for showing me a better way!

I have used the B&W lifting device to remove my 5th wheel hitch after our camping trips. It saves us time and muscle. I use the lifting device along with my tractor. Well worth the money!!

I use the lifting device and the front loader on my tractor to remove and store the B&W 5th wheel hitch. It takes all of the work out of that task and saves my back. Bill
You cannot go without this helpful tool. Lock it in and hoist the 5th wheel hitch right out!!!
In bed 5th wheel hitches can be heavy to install/remove. I bought an electric hoist with remote control at Harbor Freight and mounted it on the ceiling in my garage. (attached to ceiling joists) This tool lifts the whole hitch out and lowers it to the floor. Reverse the process to install. No heavy lifting required.
Folks, I had made a way to lift my hitch out of my truck with my electric hoist, worked OK, but Not Safe. I then purchased B & W's 5TH Wheel Lifting device for my Companion Hitch AND IT'S MUCH SAFER, EASIER, AND QUICKER. Highly recommend this unit. Rick

The lifting device for my B&W Compaion fifth wheel hitch has worked out great! I have a double direction gantry with an electric hoist, works perfect for this device and hitch. If I didn’t I would mount a pulling ring and use a hand hoist, Makes quick and secure lifting of your hitch that it fits, Rick

Makes lifting my 5th wheel hitch out of the truck easy with this simple hoist hook
I ordered this then got an immediate email from trailer telling me it’s not currently available even though the website says in stock they offered to sell me a deco replacement. The Demco was considerably more. They said could get it to me quicker. I ignored the email and got the item I ordered quick and before etrailer reps said it would be available at all.
This is the perfect adapter for my B&W Companion 5th Wheel hitch! I installed a small wrench on my garage ceiling and now installing my hitch is soooooo much easier! Great price and timely shipping! Honestly I have found etrailer to be a very reputable and trustworthy company to deal with! I have made several large purchases from them and have been pleased every time!
I have been using straps to lift my 5th wheel until this tool came along. Fit my B&W patriot slider hitch perfectly and the eyelet for the hook on my lifting hoist makes this a perfect fit!
Heavy duty! Works great lifting my B&W Companion 5th wheel hitch. Keeps the hitch level and balanced while lifting.
Makes life much easier than rigging something up one accident and you wish you had it

You are in good company! Ive heard from folks a lot about how nice this thing is. The Companion with all the components weighs around 200 lbs so its easy to imagine how this would come in clutch.
It was used to install and will be used for removal and servicing of the B&W Patriot 18K hitch that we purchased from you as well. I would like to see better protection for the hitch. I'm very particular. Thank you for your customer service.
Works great for lifting my B&W hitch out of the bed of my truck. Makes simple work for 1 person.
I use this with a companion fifth wheel hitch and a folding shop crane to load and unload the hitch by myself. Works perfect.

This tool is the best tool that I have ever bought I can install or remove my B&W hitch in minutes without lifting a finger. I use a n electric winch mounted on my garage ceiling to lift it in and out and it takes no time to do it. No more back aches.
Worked great, as advertised. Transfer of a B & W base and head from one truck to another using SIL's boom truck was quick and painless. He was impressed too.
The hitch system is perfect, and install was easy. Would have given a 5 star but your choice of carrier for shipping lost you that final star. The hitch system was shipped on July 27 with scheduled delivery shown as Aug. 2. The hitch didn't leave origin shipping terminal until that date and sit an additional 3 business days at the delivery terminal. In addition, I was told by etrailer that the shipper would contact me to schedule delivery - DIDN'T HAPPEN. The delivery driver contacted me an hour before arrival telling me he was on his way. I had to stop him because I was out of town and he could not deliver at the house with a semi truck. The hitch was finally received Aug. 9, 7 days after scheduled delivery. After reading online reviews and the BBB reviews I would never use them if I were a shipper.
The B&W lifting device seems well built and does exactly what it's intended to do.

Update. Still working great. No issues at all. The only improvement I might suggest is it could be a little shorter.
Arrived as promised, works great!

This hitch lifting device is perfect. It takes less than 10 seconds to lock in in the hitch jaws, and I’m ready to hoist using my block and tackle. I can hoist it in or out of the truck in a few minutes.
