Missing Rivet From Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution System

Wondering if I can get away with using a bolt of some sort in place of the rivet? Have my original washers but the rivet is gone. Have a set on order but will not arrive in time before short trip.

Expert Reply:
I spoke to the manufacturer of your Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution System # EQ37100ET. They said if you do not have the Spacer Rivet # EQ95-01-9450 that you would be able to use a bolt as a temporary replacement.
You will want to be sure to check the tension on the Angle Set Bolt # EQ90-03-9700 frequently(every 100 miles) to ensure that it is tight and doesn't allow the hitch head to move as this could cause damage to the head.
