Purchased all the necessary parts here to duplicate the weight distribution hitch for a second tow vehicle used for our travel trailer. If the wrong size bolt was threaded a quarter of the way into it or the right size bolt won't thread past that point that would indicate an issue with the threads. Most likely you'll need a new head for the system which will depend on the system you have. They said if you do not have the Spacer Rivet # EQ95-01-9450 that you would be able to use a bolt as a temporary replacement. You will want to be sure to check the tension on the Angle Set Bolt # EQ90-03-9700 frequently(every 100 miles) to ensure that it is tight and doesn't allow the hitch head to move as this could cause damage to the head.
