What Kayak Rack Do You Recommend for a 2014 Ford Escape?

Question:

I am looking for a Kayak support system for my Old Town Bigwater 132 PDL Kayak. I already have the factory installed roof rack system with two crossbars 2014 Ford Escape SE, so I am hoping to find a system that is compatible and be able to support a heavier Kayak which in this case can be up to 116lbs. with the peddle drive onboard. Without the peddle drive, I believe the kayak would weigh in the 90-100 lb. range. This kayak would be to heavy for the Malone Sea Wing. Can you recommend one or more support systems with the universal fit feature which would be compatible for my vehicle.

For an easy clamp-on option, you can use the Rhino-Rack Nautic Roof Kayak Carrier w/ Tie-Downs # RR570. There is no weight requirement on the rack itself, Nautic Roof Kayak Carrier will do the trick as long as the weight of the kayak and peddle drive falls under the maximum weight capacity of your factory crossbars/rails.
