do the brackets just bolt to the c-max frame? do you have to cut any part of the grille to mount the brackets? can you send me a copy of the installation instructions?

The Roadmaster EZ2 Base Plate Kit, # 524432-1, bolts to the bumper core and subframe of your 2013 Ford C-Max. I have attached a link to the installation instructions for you to check out. The instructions include photos of the installation steps. Roadmaster also requires red loctite, # LT37420, to be used on all bolts.
There may be some fascia trimming required on your C-Max. The receivers for the draw bars will require an opening on both sides of the lower front grille. Check out the photo that I attached showing the area that needs to be trimmed. The fascia trimming is also explained in the installation instructions on page 7.
Keep in mind, the base plate kit will only fit the Hybrid SE and SEL models. At this time there are no base plate options for the Energi models.
