Do I Need the Curt Stabilizing Strap on My Class III Curt Hitch?

Question:

I bought curt trailer hitch item number C13136 from you. Now I am using a Yakima hold up platform rack with this. Do I need to use a Curt Cam Buckle stabilizing strap with this rack? If yes does the strap then go on the bike? Thanks

The Curt Cam Buckle Stabilizing Strap # 18050 is usually used on Class I or Class II hitches to help distribute the weight on them. Since your hitch # C13136 for your 2013 Ausi Q5 is a Class III hitch, then it does not need the stabilizing strap.

If you did want to use the strap for extra support, it would be attached to your bike rack and not your bike.
