The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C13294 is confirmed to work with your 2018 Mercedes GLE350 with Active Curve. I reached out to Curt and they assured me that this will work. This hitch is not rated for a weight distribution hitch. If you feel that you may need or want that in the future use Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C13411. This kit is rated for a faster install (only 1 hour compared to 2) but will require more trimming than the standard hitch.

If you also need wiring for lighting I suggest ZCI Circuit Protected Vehicle Wiring Harness w/ 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector and Installation Kit # 119250KIT. It is the only kit available that does not require you to splice into your factory wiring.
