What Bolt Pattern Does Trailer Wheel with Tire Size ST205/75R14 Have

Question:
Hi Im looking to purchase a spare for my utility trailer I recently bought from a local guy. Tire size is ST205/75 R14. When I measure the distance from edge of stud to center of stud it looks like the pattern is 5x5. I cannot find a wheel with pattern like that. Should it be 5x4.5?

Expert Reply:
The 14 inch trailer wheel size is known to have the 5 on 4-1/2 inch bolt pattern as the only bolt pattern option available. Based on that you'd have the 5 on 4-1/2 inch bolt pattern and a wheel and tire like the part # 274-000053 would be what you'd need. It's pretty easy to not get the measurement exact so I'd assume that's what happened.
